about
We wrote, recorded and finished this song on Christmas Eve to send it on Christmas! It was a fun two days thinking about all those we can't see in person this year.
lyrics
Though it doesn't feel like Christmas,
I got nothing on my wish list.
One stocking on my wall,
Only Zoom and FaceTime calls.
At least we can mute the in-laws!
I can't help but think of
Friends and family and laugh,
At all of these winter plans
that'll never come to pass...
No we don't need no Christmas,
Nobody's sympathy.
Know that we'll get through this,
If you are gonna be
A hand-knit sweater from your mom,
A cozy fire through the storm,
No oh we don't need no Christmas,
Cuz you're Christmas to me.
Cuz you're Christmas to me.
Haven't worn dress pants in months.
I parked the car for two weeks straight.
Lost my favourite restaurant,
The only thing we've gained is weight.
The beard is wild, I grew some dreads,
We turned our sofas into beds.
I spent my CERB on books and starter for a
sourdough gingerbread
But we're ok with it because,
We don't need to need to hug somebody
just to feel their love...
We don't need no Christmas
Nobody's sympathy,
know that we'll get through this
If you are gonna be
A hand-knit sweater from your mom
A cozy fire through the storm
No oh We don't need no Christmas,
Cuz You're Christmas to me.
But it's bringing out what's real,
Besides, we ran out of movies
On the Netflix that we steal.
No we don't need no Christmas,
Nobody's sympathy.
Know that we'll get through this,
If you are gonna be
A hand-knit sweater from your mom,
A cozy fire through the storm,
No oh we don't need no Christmas,
Cuz you're Christmas to me.
Cuz you're Christmas to me.
